Publishing a guide ​

There is no separate "publish" step in GuideSail — guides go live as soon as you Save them in the Builder.

To save, click the Save button at the top of the guide editor. Once saved:

  • Automatic guides will start appearing for your users on the matching URL immediately.
  • Manual guides will be available to trigger via your app code.

Make sure you've completed your steps before saving. Users will see the guide in its current state right away.

Editing a published guide ​

  1. Open the GuideSail Builder on the page where the guide lives.
  2. Your existing guides for that page will appear in the list.
  3. Click the guide you want to edit.
  4. Make your changes — step content, settings, URL match, etc.
  5. Click Save.

Changes take effect immediately after saving.

Deleting a guide ​

  1. Open the guide in the Builder.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Click Delete Guide at the bottom of the settings panel.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Deleted guides are removed immediately and will no longer display for any users.

Managing guides from the dashboard ​

You can view all your guides across all pages from the GuideSail Dashboard at getguidesail.com. See [[Dashboard Overview]] for details.
